MSC Opera prices available
We recently announced the MSC Opera cruise schedule (it is expected to set sail for our Mother City in November this year). Now, the prices for the MSC Opera are available :) Navigate to MSC Opera to get a quotation - we cant finalise reservations yet as the systems aren't ready for that, but we can get you in the queue for the best cabins before those who are still snoozing.
We at South Africa Travel Online are here to assist you. Though bookings can only be officially processed once we have the required approbation from headquarters in Italy, we are at liberty to provisionally book individuals who would like a head start, a foot in the door as it were, so that the mandatory, perfunctory jazz will be quick and painless when the time finally comes round to seal the deal and issue the magic ticket.

The Purple shall rule! "Wish to express my displeasure at the way Velvet Sky treated me. I was booked on the 13:20 flight (VZ307) from cape town to Joburg on the 22nd February 2012. we were checked in on time and proceeded to gate C10 for boarding. Nothing was said to the waiting passengers when we could not board by the stated time. The computer screen read 'delayed flight'. Passengers become impatient around 14:30hrs (when screen changed to indefinite delay) and demanded to be addressed and that's when an official came to announce that the plane is delayed indefinitely due to operational problems! I informed the Velvet Sky Staff that I had a connection flight to catch at 18:45 hrs in Joburg and they advised me to go to Mango Airlines to be put on the next flight. When I got to Mango counter, they refused to accommodate me and a few others on their flight claiming that Velvet Sky had not paid them.
Velvet Sky finally transported us to Joburg around 19:00 hrs. We landed at OR Tambo Int. Airport around 21:10hrs. I went to Velvet Sky Offices and found them closed. Notice read operating hrs 04:00 to 20 hrs. I had to spend the night at the airport and the following day at 04:00 hrs went to their offices and explained my predicament. The lady I found was understanding and acknowledged receiving information from their Cape Town Offices that there was a passenger who had missed a connection flight to Botswana. She advised me to see the Supervisor at 07:00 hrs. When the supervisor came, it was bad news. She told me there was nothing they could do to assist me with arranging for the connection flight with Air Botswana as they had fulfilled their obligation to bring me to Joburg from Cape Town, time factor does not matter in Air line industry!! I told her i signed a contract when I bought a ticket to be transported to Joburg from Cape Town at a particular time and within a specific time frame. The supervisor was adamant and I was beginning to lose my patience looking at the inconvenience I had passed through. A fellow passenger whispered to me that I can seek protection from the SA Customer protection Authority (not sure of the name). I went to see them and they were very helpful. Being a foreign passenger caught up in an airline's problems, I feel the Authority acted at the right moment. They went and talked to the airline manager who eventually agreed to talk to Air Botswana. The rest is history as Air Botswana acted promptly and put me on the next available flight out of Joburg to Gaborone.
I salute the SA Customer Authority as well as Air Botswana. Is Velvet sky sinking or what is going on?? It would be a shame to lose it. Cheers,
