Last minute cruise specials2011-11-11. For those with the flexibility to plan a cruise holiday in November, there are some pretty neat last minute specials. I especially like the 27 Nov cruise to Barra Lodge (always wanted to go there). These cruises also avoid the festive season rush. Book now at MSC Sinfonia to avoid disappointment (these specials can be withdrawn at any point). Below are the prices for 2 adults sharing one outside cabin with a window, all inclusive.
Buy 1 get 1 freeAnd if you'd prefer sailing from Cape Town, there's a buy-1-get-1 free special on the MSC Melody on the 6th of December cruise to nowhere. For a couple sharing an inside cabin, the cheapest price is R3720 for the 2 of you (including port charges, service charges & insurance).

Signing a 20-year lease agreement with the Cavaleros Group, Sun International has taken over the lease of the Grayston Hotel in Johannesburg, previously run by Southern Sun. Grand Central Airport, in Midrand, hopes to begin commercial flights by mid-2013, with Airlink flights between Cape Town and Johannesburg (ACSA's astronomical increase in airport taxes no doubt made this decision easier). |

The Purple shall rule! "Morning all. It is with regret that I have to give this feedback about the Shosholoza meyl train...I recently took the train from Johannesburg to Durban and back again and I am sorry to say it was a disaster!...the condition of the train or more specifically the compartments was nothing more than disgusting and dirty..the schedule said the trip would last about 12 hours but on the way down it took 16 hours and then the train manager had no interest in curbing the noise levels on the train at all I eventually had to do it myself to address the noise in the train around 00h30 in the morning...no dining car on the train at all...and then on the return trip the train was scheduled to pull into JHB station at 07h40 we only got to Johannesburg after midday...We ordered coffee at around 8 in the morning...and as of today 09/11/2011 still waiting for it!...PRASA need to get their act together and very fast...it really was not worth the money I paid!...too many issues! |

The Bottom Line: (A solar power station bidder) "whose bid was over R10bn, a sizeable amount, said he had bid around the world for similar projects, and the South African bidding system was the best, the fairest, the most organised and the most free from potential corruption he had ever experienced". Well played, Minister! |
