A game drive is a trip through a nature reserve in an open 4 wheel drive vehicle, made with the intent of viewing wildlife. The drive is often at dusk or dawn so as to maximise the chances of seeing wildlife on the move.
A big 5 game drive involves seeing the big 5 wild animals of the African bush (lions, leopards, elephant, rhino & buffalo) during the drive.
In South Africa game drives are frequently done in the Kruger National Park & Eastern Cape Province's nature reserves. The following private game reserves offer frequent game drives
Lion Sands Kruger (Kruger National Park)
Londolozi Kruger (Kruger National Park)
Singita Kruger (Kruger National Park
Kichaka Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape)
Shamwari Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape)
