Well, yesterday, I finally got my HTC S710 cellphone from Vodacom. Our little one has gone to sleep, which gives me a chance to read through the manual. In the getting started section the interesting bits are:
"Self portrait mirror" - next to the camera on the back of the HTC S710 there's a tiny mirror, which allows you to line yourself up properly for those self-portrait photos.
"voice command" - a little button on the left activates the voice recognition program, where you can record your voice.
"car antenna connector" - on the back of the phone, there's a round connection which you can connect to your car antenna for better network reception.
"light sensor" - at the bottom of the cellphone is a light sensor which can tell when it's dark and activate a backlight under the keyboard and keypad.
"microSD slot" - on the left side of the cellphone is an opening for the microSD card (whatever that is).
My original reasons for getting the HTC S710 were rather basic - I was hoping for great interoperability with Microsoft office (still to be tested) and I liked the qwerty keyboard. The above list are nice surprises in addition to my basic needs.
