Thula Thula Lodge

On arrival at Thula Thula one is welcomed with open hands and warm African smiles.

"A visit to the rural cr?che has opened our eyes to an untouched world, a world where children do not now of all the glamour and glitter outside their village. Their bright little faces and the small little hands touching us feeling our hair and clothes?. One wants to pick them up and take the with to spoil them and show them the world. But then again they are the masters in this lesson a lesson we all can learn. They showed us their world and that love, faith and peace is more than money can buy.

We said goodbye and left with a bag full of appreciation in our hearts. We were spoiled with a sunset Game Drive where the game ranger shared a story of an elephant at Tula Tula. Lawrence was the Elephant Whisperer and they new him so well that when he returned from a visit they would wait for him. Yes, one can not imagine this but it is true a man that has the ability to speak to an African Giant. When you sit on the vehicle and you breathe the fresh night air and you hear the hyena call and small night animals you feel the presence of Africa in your veins.

At the boma more stories were shared and you become one with the fire, fantastic food and extremely comfortable tent accommodation. This is definitely heaven, it is a place nestled in nature with all the comfort one can imagine.

At first dawn we went for a guided walk and experienced life at the waterhole. We were educated and entertained with stories, stories that we can take with us to come back to this wonderful place, a place were you can find your soul again.

After a breakfast feast we said goodbye to Tula Tula and return with a warm feeling in our hearts knowing that this will not be the last visit."
