If it wasn't for the smell of the still water in the lake, the Protea Hotel at the Centurion Waterfront would be idyllic. The hotel has 151 rooms, an outdoor pool and views onto the Centurion lake. Their advertised time of 30 minutes to the airport would require clear roads (often not the case in Gauteng).
A photo of the Protea Hotel Waterfront's Emanzini Restaurant, which serves a "Contemporary African Experience on the Water's Edge". The chairs in front lead on to the pool.
The front entrance to the Protea Hotel Waterfront with the flags drifting in the wind. This photo was taken on the 10th August 2008. Note the blue skies (as is often the case in Gauteng in the winter).
