SAA Voyager credit card The SAA (South African Airways) Voyager credit card allows you to earn air miles when you spend money with it. There are 3 credit card options - (1) an SAA Voyager Premium credit card (annual salary requirement of R300,000), (2) an SAA Voyager Gold credit card (annual salary requirement of R120,000) and (3) an SAA Voyager Classic credit card (annual salary requirement of R36,000). Whichever option you choose you'll get given two credit cards (one American Express card and one Visa) and you will earn double the Voyager miles in the first 3 months of use of the credit cards. If you spend more than R40,000 in a year, then your SAA Voyager miles due to expire in that year will gain a 12 month additional validity. You will earn miles in your first purchase of an SAA flight (5000 Voyager miles for SAA Voyager Classic credit card, 10000 Voyager miles for an SAA Voyager Gold credit card and 18000 miles for an SAA Voyager Premium credit card). All three options provide the opportunity to transfer outstanding loans onto your SAA credit card at preferential rates. There are up to 55 days interest free, no transaction fees on purchases, budget facilities for up to 36 months and you're covered for fraudulent use of your card.

Companion ticketsWith SAA Gold and SAA Premium credit cards, a companion ticket may be obtained once a year provided that the earning threshold has been met (R60,000 for Premium and R80,000 for Gold).
With companion tickets credit card owner must buy and travel on an SAA flight (Y,B,M and K tickets only), domestic or international flights (first, business or economy class), airport taxes must be paid by the cardholder.
The travel insurance on SAA Voyager credit cards is underwritten by AIG South Africa.
The SAA credit cards are issued by Nedbank Limited, and its other partners in the deal are Visa and American Express (Amex).
